both in my brassier and on my birdy feeder. Grin

I sort of assumed they were bluetits but have sat watching and think they are much bigger with black heads.
I was pleased anyway.

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 29/02/2012 19:00

Envy Just blue 'uns here.

Northey · 29/02/2012 19:29

You want to see a doctor for that.

CavemanDave · 01/03/2012 16:22

I have long tailed tits too.
And a dead thrush Sad think he may have been on a suicide mission into the kitchen window.

GrimmaTheNome · 01/03/2012 16:27

I've got Great Tits too - and blues, coals and sometime longtailed.

Was at Leighton Moss this morning, didn't see any Bearded Tits this time.

When we lived in the US, DH took his calendar with him which happened to be British Birds that year... he got some funny looks when he started talking about tits.

ExitPursuedByaBear · 01/03/2012 16:30

Long tailed tits here too. Was sat in my Conversatory chatting on the phone to a friend marvelling at what a bloody gorgeous day it is, and the long tailed tits were all over the garden.

Lovely.

Why is this in World Cup 2010 Confused

Why is this in World Cup 2010
Its a sit-in of an obviously obsolete topic until MNHQ create an Outdoorsy Shite topic.

'Conversatory chatting on the phone ' - what a lovely idea - a conservatory especially for to conversing while birdwatching is it? Grin

Selks · 01/03/2012 17:42

Fabulous time for little birds at the moment, innit? They're starting to be much more vocal and active now. Smile

CavemanDave · 01/03/2012 17:59

Have been watching a robin carrying bits of stuff into the hedge this morning. He must be on a promise.

ExitPursuedByaBear · 01/03/2012 23:23

OOpps - shite spelling of conservatory - sorry Blush

Although I am now leaning towards conversatory - cos that is what it is used for mostly.

Our robin sits outside and looks sternly at us until we furnish food.

Had a big groom of the ned tonight and left all the hair on the ground for nest lining.

But the Spaniel disturbed a duck hiding in the grass this morning who sprung out and onto the canal and was then rounded on by three male ducks who proceeded to ahem 'whispers' have their way with her. Poor thing, she kept disappearning under water and then hiding in the undergrowth on the bank but they would insist on hanging around waiting for their next turn.

Bastards!

MooncupGoddess · 01/03/2012 23:57

I saw a lovely pair of bearded tits the other day and I wasn't even in the shower at the time.

I get the occasional flock of long-tailed tits, they're lovely. Never seen any penduline tits, they're definitely next on my list.

GrimmaTheNome · 02/03/2012 00:03

Mallard drakes are total bastards if they come across an unattached duck. Or worse.... google 'duck "ignobel prize" ' if you dare....
