Pennine Way, Coast to Coast, Pembrokeshire Coastal Path...

Hardcore multi-day types this way.

Gosh, I hope we can fill all these new threads up.

I'd love to do the Coast to Coast at some point.

Have covered off fair chunks of the Cumbria Way, Shropshire Way and Sandstone Trail but none all in one go.

Not really a LDW but DH and I will be walking the Bob Graham later this year.

Northey · 24/02/2012 10:42

What's the Bob Graham? I've never heard of that one.

The Coast to Coast was the first one I ever did. The middle section is the best (I thought). So much lovely wall. And the tantalising intersection with the Pennine Way. Some bloody pestilential stiles, mind.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Graham_Round
DP is a fell runner so it's intended as a recce for him. More a multi-day circuit than a long distant path though.

Northey · 24/02/2012 10:47

42 fells?! Wow. That looks fab. And knackering.

Don't forget the South West Coast Path.

I'm not really a multi-day type, but have done quite a few sections of this (Exmoor coast, cornwall). Lovely.

I loved the C-to-C too, beautiful hot summer with my family...heaven.

Now how old to kids need to be before you can turn them into packhorses get them to carry lots of kit?

lostinwales · 24/02/2012 17:25

All Wales Coast Path set to open 5th May 2012. You can walk from Chester to the Severn bridge going right past my house, what's not to love!

Slubberdegullion · 24/02/2012 17:27

One day one day I will do the Lleyn Costal Path. Have done little chunks of it with the dds but would love to do the whole thing proper without small people moaning about aching legs. Such a beautiful part of the world.

Slubberdegullion · 24/02/2012 17:29

Ah, losty I may have to do that one too, and stop in at yours for a wine or eight and some of those Welsh toffee waffle jobbers.

lostinwales · 24/02/2012 17:35

Slubber, I would even let you camp in my garden Grin

Lilymaid · 24/02/2012 17:42

DH is hoping to do coast to coast soon (has climbed all the Munros - surely another thread?). I think I may see him off/meet him half way and walk a few miles.

Slubberdegullion · 24/02/2012 17:42

Now there's an offer I couldn't possibly pass up. Losty you're on. I'll bring my own loo roll.

KatMumsnet · 28/03/2012 15:55

Hi, we've moved this into The Great Outdoors.

FryingNemo · 29/03/2012 19:30

Has anyone done the Stevenson Way ? I have a hankering to do it but will have to wait until the little ones are older.

bronze · 29/03/2012 22:56

I want to do peddars way and the north Norfolk coastal path all in one go (though not in one day)
