I've just started geocaching with the kids but not having a very good success rate. I'm using c:geo on my android phone.

We started in 2006 and have 658 finds, not quite as impressing as Strawbezza :o

We have slowed down quite a bit over the last 2 years as weekends are taken over by other things now the kids get older, but we all still enjoy it and it has brought us to places we wouldn't have found otherwise.

wow Strawbezza, that's loads! we've been going since last July and have 130+ now. Have set ourselves the challenge of finding 366 this year. I think we're up to about 24....

I loved geocaching from the moment I started, did quite a few with the family (a few hundred) but then teamed up with some like-minded cachers and we go caching most Saturdays. We got 100 in a day once Grin Another time we flew to Ireland for the day to find Europe's First, placed in June 2000. We've done overnight travelodge stays too.

My kids are older, eldest at uni, youngest in 6th form, so I have much more free time than I used to!

100 in a day? Yes, I'm slightly limited by smallish, whinging children at the moment. I can see that I'd do a lot more if I wasn't hampered in this way. Or if I didn't have to go to work.
