Lump near dogs ear

My sister sent me a video of a lump she found next to our dogs ear. She is 15 years old, and she is booked in at the vet on Thursday to get it checked out. I know no one here is going to be able to tell me what it is. But just wondering if anyone has experience of anything similar and whether it turned out to be nothing? With her age, it’s hard to not worry

It’s hard to say. Could be a skin tag or an infected hair follicle. Old dogs get lots of lumps and it’s rarely anything to worry about. I wouldn’t even go to the vet for that on a 15yo dog. I have Johnson’s skin-eze that I put on my dogs lumpy elbows.

Oh thank you, that’s reassuring. tbh she is quite lumpy so I think you might be right

My dog gets little cysts all the time - vet says they're nothing to worry about. They appear, stay for a month or two, then disappear - occasionally they have a bit of pus that comes out and then deflate, but mostly they just shrink and go away.
