Are Bonnie and Minnie too similar as names for two dogs?

We've just brought home a female border terrier puppy, and we're stuck for a name. Our other dog is Bonnie, and we like Minnie for the pup, but are they too similar? Will it cause confusion for both dogs?

Good choice of puppy. What about Mina if you want a similar name but different sound.

How about Bonnie and Mindy?

I mean…they might be fine because of the different start, but honestly, I wouldn’t do it.

My current 2 are Toby and Dex…they know which one is them, mostly 😂 they will still go… could be me? I’ll answer just in case, so the chances of 2 dogs answering is always high even with different names is pretty high, nevermind similar ones.

I had a dog called Ben once, a dog named bing came to stay for a couple of weeks - pure chaos

Nah, they'll be fine.

I have four with very similar names (ending -em or -en) and they all know their individual names. If my dogs can know their names, given they share one brain cell between them, then any dog can😀

They’ve a different vowel sound which I think is the main thing
