Keeping big bags kibble fresh

Hello

How does everyone keep large openend bags of dog kibble fresh for over a month?

I have one dog, a labrador, who I buy 2.5kg bags for simply to ensure freshness. But Id like to have the benefits of larger bags - some brands only do larger kibble size in bigger bags, less expensive per kg and some brands only really do big bags for large breeds.

I would like to try him on.a 10kg bag of Essentials Dog food. It would take him about 40 days to get through that. So keeping it fresh will be paramount.

I'd prefer to keep the food in the bag and put the whole bag into a large airtight container once opened. Does anyone do this? The Simple Human airtight pet food bins look good and look like they may fit the bag + contents but £130 approx very expensive.

Has anyone found a good airtight solution where they don't need to empty the bag out that doesn't break the bank?

Vacuum seal bags, you know the kind you store clothes in. Dont empty the kibble into it, but take out what you need, say 2kg, and put the kibble bag inside the vaccum sealer bag, pop the vacuum on it to do its thing and go back in a month to get the next batch.
