Does anyone else's raw fed dog go off their raw food during exceptionally hot spells like the one we are having now?
2yr old miniature poodle is usually a really good eater and loves this diet. She has gone right off it the last few days however, even with increased amounts of dog crack cocaine green tripe.
All the while during this heat she happily accepts treats, 1/2 tin of tuna etc...
I have some wet food in the cupboard, and just offered her this and she ate it with gusto.
It's no problem, I'll just make sure I have a stash of ambient-cooked dog food at home for sudden hot spells, I just wondered if any other raw feeders have this too when we hit a heatwave?
ETA - obviously raw food is defrosted in the fridge, not left out, same bowl of content not offered twice etc etc
