Can I tell you about the best cuddle dog that ever lived 🌈

DDog went to sleep for the last time today and I am heartbroken. She was nearly 7 years old but her cancer had spread and she was starting to get aggressive (because of the pain we think).

She was part French bulldog so her bottom was rotten at times but my god she gave the best cuddles, you could cradle her like a baby and she’d just lay there and let you love her. Her favourite thing in the world was a fluffy blanket, so winter time was great for her because all the kids dragged out their blankets - she’d get on their beds and snuggle all night with them. She loved cheese and ham and if you wanted her to come you’d just shout “what’s this” and she’d come pelting from wherever she was snuggled to see if you’d got a little nugget of cheese for her. She loved the water and so if you happen to be walking her past a stream, reservoir or even a puddle she’d be right in there having a good paddle around.

When she went for a walk she insisted on having the lead in her mouth and carrying it-but only until we got to the park gate, as soon as we got to the gate she’d drop it every time - I never quite worked out her logic for this it was just one of her quirks.

Our house is not going to be the same 😢.

My miniature poodle is a complete cuddle monster. ❤️🐾

So sorry for your loss. 💔🐾

Oh how bloody awful, you have all my sympathy. I have a Frenchie and they have so much character and pluck.
All you can do is grieve and think about your girl. It's a pain quite unlike any other x

So sorry to hear this, she sounded gorgeous and her memory will go on - I will cuddle my girl extra tight this evening in memory of your little one 💔

Emmz1510 · 21/11/2025 18:22

I’m so sorry for your loss 💔

KellySeveride · 21/11/2025 18:23

She was utterly fantastic. We keep looking at the sofa expecting to see her snuggled up in the corner. DS(15) hung her collar on the wall this afternoon which set us all off again. I think we’re going to get a box frame to put it in so it’s on display properly.

I’m so sorry for your loss, losing a dog is heartbreaking they integrate so well into our lives and have so much love to give.

I have a Frenchie too and she’s just as fab as your girl, they are such lovely cuddly dogs, my dd calls her a Velcro dog as she follows me around so much but her favourite thing in the world is food!

Sending you lots of love and hugs, grieve for your girl and don’t let anyone tell you to get over it. 🌈🌈
