We were advised to have a 30” crate with a pen around the outside for our miniature poodle. We also have a crate mat that fills the whole floor space and has raised edges. Our puppy has never had a toileting accident in there. He was quite small in it to start with but now fills the bed space when he stretches out!

We also have a crate mat that fills the whole space and then a layer of vet bed on top which is soft ... it is quite cozy in there especially with B's soft toys in there too.

At least he enjoyed it for a few months 😂

Crates are useful before they are toilet trained ... not so necessary afterwards in my opinion.

My puppy is enjoying Easter Sunday. She found a hard boiled egg, ate it in the hallway and then sat at the top of the stairs looking at the remaining evidence. Not sure where she found it, only has access to the back garden unless a bird dropped it………
