Dog coat for long but skinny dog, any recommendations?

Hello just looking for recommendations please.

Dog has tried on every coat in the two pet stores near us last winter and seems to fall between sizes in all brands!
We bought the best fit for him which was a 3 peaks size M, but it could do with being a couple of inches longer on the back.

He is a short haired border collie/whippet X so medium sized but quite skinny with a long back.

Looking for something waterproof but not too warm.

Would appreciate any suggestions, thank you

I have a funny shaped cockapoo and tried many different coats... in the end, 2 of the best fitting ones are one alterd by a friend who is very handy with a sewing machine and the second is from Equafleece.

My dog is a similar build and the best-fitting coat she has is Non-Stop Dogwear Fjord. It's a shell coat and super waterproof. They have just brought out a lined version if you're looking for something a bit warmer.

We were given a Barbour jacket dog coat, complete with corduroy collar, from Harrods as a jokey present. It’s turned out very useful in Autumn as it’s not padded, closes across the chest and doesn’t have those elastics around the top of the back legs.
Our dog (mini Schnauzer) is deep chested and I had to cut off some of the length, so probably just right for yours.
The only drawback is that, with the wax coating, it can’t be machine washed.

I second the Equafleece. My dog ends up looking like Winnie the Pooh in normal coats! The Equafleece comes in a few different body widths for each of the numerous length options.

He may be too much of a scruff to pull off a Barbour though!

Equafleece is the best. You can give them your dog's measurements and they'll advise on the appropriate size.

We also love Equafleece too, but I was wondering if your dog is more Lurcher shaped @user2848502016 ? If so, have a look at Drydogs. We used to have a collie x greyhound and had a couple of coats from there for him.
