Borzoi

Does anyone have one and could tell me what their personalities/maintenance is like and how hard it would be to find a puppy? Could they be happy in London by large commons and Richmond or would we have a Fenton accident.

I have had a whippet and an Italian greyhound. How do they compare?

I will contact the club but I would like to know more about them.

Our saluki deerhound cross can keep up with a quad going at 40mph. It's some sight.

Pic of the absolute villain.

What about a rescue greyhound?

I can't say that I know much about the Borzoi except that they are such elegant dogs but I am intrigued to know what a Fenton accident might be.

Me too 🫤

They look lovely but I am after a more long dog look if you see what I mean. A long snout with judging side eyes. 😂

What about an Afghan Hound we had them growing up

I was very tempted but there are just too big and I want a dog off the lead for long walks on the commons. All road are leading back to whippet or Italians. If only it was not so hard to find a good breeder…

The maintenance must be off the charts. And surely they are the same as a borzoi or a greyhound. I need the country side for one I imagine not London.

I love Borzois, 2 near me. But could not cope with one of my own. Love Silken Windhounds, but suspect my cats would not appreciate one joining the house.

My Wällerhund was known to take off after deer and cinghiale when a bit younger. Which he then herded towards me. A pissed off Rudolf charging at me is bad enough. The teenage cinghiale damn near gave me heart attack.

I’m quitting while I’m ahead and all limbs unbroken.

My Mum had 3 together when we were growing up one male 2 bitches lovely dogs tho very aloof with strangers. As for
maintenance I Remember my mum bathing them and us using 2 hairdryers to dry them lol in the end she got a mobile groomer. They all had lovely temperaments the male was very loyal. You don’t see them anymore which is a shame
