Weird Patch on my dog's tummy - any ideas?

I have recently noticed this strange patch on my 9-year old Chihuahua's tummy.

It is VERY weird looking - almost as though there are seeds inside but it is smooth to touch.

Doesn't seem to be bothering him. I don't know exactly how long it has been there but it must be a few months. It has definitely grown. At first we just thought it was a patch of discolouration.

Obviously we will take him to the vets but just wondering if anyone has any ideas in the meantime?

He needs to see a vet I’d think
I had a chihuahua cross with terrible skin allergies but this could be multiple things like fungal infection or allergies
only a vet can tell you this

I’m shocked you’ve just left this on your dog for three months without getting it looked at.

Bloody hell that looks grim. I've had dogs all my life and I've never seen anything like it.

Wow yes see the vet ASAP. Poor boy.
