Has anyone been a trainer fosterer for the Guide Dog association?

Hi, we have completed the training necessary to be fosterers. We signed up to be respite fosterers but so far no new of any dog coming to stay! Today the guide dog people let me know that they are desperate for a trainer fosterer. This is a more involved/committed role as the guide dog in training will live with us for a certain amount of time, not sure how many months tbh, and we will be responsible for taking it to the training centre and collecting it 5 days a wk.
Does anyone havens experience of this ? Can anyone share any stories...positive and maybe negative?

Is there a training centre near you? Otherwise its a no-go

IF you can commit and feel enthusiastic then go for it ! sounds really rewarding 👌
However if you can't commit all that time then please don't let them down..

If you can make it work with drop offs and collections then I'd say go for it.

Ok thanks for replies. The training centre is quite near us fortunately. I just spoke to the trainer....the dog sounds gorgeous ,full Labrador golden colour ,14 months old. I am VERY tempted to take this on.
