Best cleaner for dog accidents 🙈

Hi, our New dog has had a couple of accidents on our living room carpet while I've been out and DH didn't notice them, so by the time I had gotten home they'd dried and the smell has set in. I have a little vax spot carpet cleaner, which usually does the job, but that's normally on fresh accidents.
So far I've tried vax carpet cleaner for pets, simple solutions cleaner from the pet store (2 different ones) a home brand enzyme cleaner from the local pet store, bi carb and white vinegar aswel as non bio detergent and nothing has shifted it. While it's wet it smells better but as soon as it's dry it stinks again, I'm close to ripping up the carpet 🙈
does anyone have any tried and tested products that they recommend please?

Simple Solutions hasn’t worked? Wow! That’s usually my go to…

Have you looked into a dry carpet cleaner? Think the brand is called Capture.

it’s probably soaked through to the underfelt unfortunately and the cleaners haven’t permeated that deeply.

I've been really surprised that simple solutions hasn't worked too, I've used this one for years with our other dog.
I've seen amazon have an extreme version which the pet store didn't have so I'll give that one a try.
I've not tried a dry carpet cleaner, but I'll give anything a try so I'll have a look for that one too. Thank you!

It's not an old carpet either so I really don't want to have to replace it if possible 🤞

I had a sample of Bissell carpet cleaner, diluted that, worked it in well, left it for half an hour, and then used a clean towel to blot the wetness.

Dr Beckmans (? Think its named that) white bottle with brush on the top. They do a pet one and it's amazing. Gets rid of smells/colour etc.

We use the Dr Beckman's one too.

Kennel cleaner.

Get the Amazon extreme one and don't spray it. Open the bottle and REALLY saturate it.

It's probably soaked all the way through to the foam, so you need to do the same.

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 20/07/2024 18:41

Dr Beckmans the pet one works wonders also when dry sprinkle over some bi carb leave for a bit and then hoover that should deffo get rid of the smell

When you say 'a couple of accidents', do you mean, say,'pulled out too far at a junction' or perhaps 'ran into the back of somebody at a pedestrian crossing'?

Moon30 · 21/07/2024 22:42

Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll give those a try!
I've sprayed the simple solution extreme, left for 24 hours and it didn't work so put some more on earlier this evening. It has likely gone right through to the underlay so hopefully saturating fully will work but because both toilet accidents was close to each other it's all merged into one large patch now 🙈
