Ultra Sticky tape stuck on ear

My muppet of a puppy has got some ultra sticky tape attached to one of his ears. Is there a way of dissolving the stickiness so I can remove the tape from his ear? Bit like a solvent that can remove the stick? Or am I going to have to resort to cutting the tape out? Many thx x

Mayonnaise

Please don't put any harsh chemicals on the puppy's skin it could burn the skin. As a PP suggested try same thing safe like Mayonnaise or baby shampoo. If not gently cut it off with round ended scissors.

You can buy adhesive remover on Amazon safe for human skin. Not sure about dogs though

I’d just go at it with warm soapy water tbh.

Baby oil. Learnt that for getting dressings off fragile skin
