Does anyone else have a dog who does this? My dog (rescue from a hoarding situation, came to me 9 months ago, now very settled and happy) is absolutely fascinated by my face. She loves sticking her nose in my eye sockets, up against my nose, against my mouth, in my ears and all over my face generally. This morning she cut my yawn short by sticking her nose in my actual mouth 🤮. I adore my dog but have seen her scoffing cat shit so am not keen on this behaviour. I always distract, never scold and indeed sometimes I use it as a reward, for example when I’m grooming her. But I’m curious about why she should find it so rewarding? Is it simply that my face smells like a dog’s arse?
