My ddog has died suddenly, I’m devastated.

My beautiful 10 year old girl, apparently healthy, has died suddenly tonight.
We think it must have been a seizure or similar. She was barking through the patio doors at a squirrel in the garden.
She suddenly collapsed and let out a little cry and was gone.
We rang the emergency vet but it was obvious she’d gone.

I feel as if my heart will break.
I want her to wake up.

We've laid her on her towel in a box and dh will take her to the vet tomorrow morning.
I’m just in shock. And the pain. It’s horrible.

What a beautiful girl. Oh I do so feel for you. Our dogs are so precious to us that their passing is one of the worst losses.

She was obviously adored and had the best, most fun filled life right until the very last moment. No dog could ask for more. I hope the millions of happy memories you have of her bring you comfort at such a sad time. A very big hug.

Oh, I'm really sorry, it's so painful. What an awful shock too. I guess the only consolation is that she didn't suffer at all and I'm sure she had a wonderful life with you. I know that won't help at the moment though, but the pain does lessen with time 💐

So so sorry, what a gorgeous dog💕 That must have been such a shock to see. I'm glad the vets have been kind. Will you find out what happened, or just suspect it was a heart attack as it was so quick?

I think we’ll just assume she had a seizure or similar.
Any suffering was less than 2 minutes for Mitzi, unfortunately not so for us.
We have to be grateful she wasn’t in prolonged pain.

I understand what you are going through and how you are feeling - It is a huge shock and you had no time to say goodbye or nurse her at the end. Be brave and look after yourself and keep talking about her and looking at photos and videos - that is what I'm doing and of course crying a lot - bon courage.

OP, hand-hold for you and others going through the loss of their pet. It can take a long, long time but eventually we will accept it.

What a gorgeous girl mitzy was I’m so sorry for your loss, we lost our beautiful girl at the end of February and still miss her madly💔

I'm sorry for your loss. We lost our beautiful 12 year old dog very suddenly three weeks ago and the pain is unbearable. One minute she was fine on a walk then two hours later suddenly collapsed and died as we got to the vets.
