Why oh why?!? Puppy 😂

Dh has been pestering me for what feels like months for a puppy…

Guess what we got at the weekend…a 13 week old puppy

I think I must have blanked out the puppy days and looked back with rose tinted glasses 😂 (we have 2 other dogs) house training, crate training, getting up twice a night to let the puppy out for a wee, the chewing of anything and everything 😂

Yes I know it will get better and yes I should have said no 🫣

Just remind me I just have to get through the next few weeks - is it too early to have a glass of wine 🍷 😂

Ours is 14 months old but a breed not known to mature before two years plus!!!
He chewed his first remote control this week and has managed to hide the other.
All in all he's cost us close to fifty pounds this week if I include the pillow he ripped to shreds.
Having said that, he's way way better than he was three months ago.
I think I possibly have PTSD caused by his baby puppy stage 😂

It’s not about whether they know, the point is you agree to not do it. Why would you take a dog that you’ve been told should never be crated and then put it in a crate?

Arrgh the puppy stage! I was sure our border collie was crossed with a velociraptor when he was tiny. He also had a sock fetish (still has!)

I loved the puppy stage with both of mine. It was only really the night time toilet trips I found hard. Love watching them discover the world, fighting with blueberries, chasing feathers, watching the world go by etc.

They both toilet trained really quickly which I'm sure helps enormously.
