How long to leave the suit on after a spay?

My chihuahua was spayed today and came home with a body suit on to stop her licking her stitches. I completely forgot to ask the vet how long she has to wear it for. Is it until she has her stitches removed? (She only has one - the others are dissolvable).

In our case , yes it was until the stitches came out. My girl looked so cute in hers 🥰

Just a word of warning- check to make sure she can't get around the suit, especially if it's a bit loose in places. My dog got round both a cone and a suit to lick his neuter scar and got an infection. Both together did the trick though!

Thank you. She doesn’t seem to mind having the suit on - it’s just a pain when she needs to go to the loo!

usually till the stitches come out at the vet check up, I assume they’ve given you an appointment? I’d wait till then.
