My butcher has given me four pig hearts. WTF do I do with them??

Very kindly (!) my butcher gave me some pig hearts that he thought my dog would like.
I have no idea what to do with them!!
Can I freeze a couple?
Any advice?

Cook them? Or will your dog eat them raw?

chop and feed raw.
Slice and dehydrate for treats
cut into long strips for your DDog to chew.

Keep in a hard floor area, as they can be a bit slobbery.

And don’t let it go outside or it will be buried then unearthed next week when it’s nice and maggot ridden.

They are very rich and ideal shouldn't make up more than 10% of the daily diet. You can dice them and freeze them. I prefer to finely dice them and leave them on an oven shelf with the oven on a very low temp (30-40c) for 12-24 hours. This turns them into jerky and can be stored in an air tight jar and used as treats.

Sacrifice them to the God Of Good Weather

Gift wrap and send them to four of your enemies?

So the general consensus is to bury one, wrap it up in a bow and post through my neighbours letter box, dehydrate one and pop one in the freezer.

I have a good recipe for coeurs de cochon dans la poubelle - very quick and easy.

Burying requires stringent attention to future garden visits. Ideally the hound will unearth it late at night, smuggle it in and rebury it in your cream duvet. At least, so Pickledog tells me.

OP, clearly you have not danced energetically enough around the buried pig's heart, because IT IS RAINING!!!

Donate them to your local school's science department for dissection.
