So far she's a a very squeaky carrot thanks to my DSis that sounds like Sooty & Sweep are involved in some kind of massacre.

She's now snorting in the sofa but she is getting older. A but more chilled than other years.

Pig’s ear and nose as a treat today!

tootrueblue · 25/12/2023 10:11

@PinkMimosa 😂 I bet you're delighted with it.

Mine haven't opened their stockings yet but they've got treat sticks, nibbles, a new ball, one has a flashing led collar and the other has a squeaky chicken toy. They'll go mental!

KissTheRains · 25/12/2023 10:14

I got him a thing you fill with treats, the idea is he knocks it about and they fall out a little window... But he's a bit on the Dim side so instead he picked it up and tried to bury it in his bed.. bow hes looking at me to help..

We have a rabbit and guinea pigs staying for Christmas so I have wrapped them each a packet of treats along with a packet of chewy turkey sticks for our dog. DP has now wrapped a new so-called indestructible toy for the dog which I am in two minds about giving. Will this look like favouritism? 😛

Motorina · 25/12/2023 10:39

A new car. Puppy number 4 came home a month ago, and the boot was really too small. So I picked up a new (to me…) car on Saturday.

In fairness, old car was on its last legs, but this was the final push.

also antlers and balls and a new teddy bear each. But mostly the car.

wobblyweasel · 25/12/2023 11:25

Lots of edible treats, and loads of new balls! (He's ball obsessed)

My two have the same present every year - kong knots dragon. This is last years and today's side by side 😂😂. They absolutely love them, even though dogs are now over 10yrs old.

A few treats , new coat and currently guarding a jumbone like his life depends on it - even his uncle is getting the growls for just looking at him

LifeWithAnimals · 25/12/2023 11:41

Ours have loads of new toys, some Christmas themed like a squeaky sprout, reindeer and candy cane, lots of squeaking and crinkly noises coming from them, they’re very happy. New treats as well. We are all taking them on a walk later, they get very excited on walks where we are all with them. 😂 And their own Xmas dinner of course.

margotrose · 25/12/2023 14:37

Mine had a massive pigs ear for breakfast and some chicken, potatoes and peas for his lunch.

Eggsley · 25/12/2023 14:56

He's had a nerf ball, which he's carried round in his mouth all morning, plus he's had some chew bones to replace his old ones and some new treats.

He's also had turkey, sprouts, carrots, potato, pigs in blankets and sausage for his Christmas dinner. He's now sleeping it off under the radiator in the kitchen but will no doubt wake up if anyone goes into the kitchen, just in case he misses any food.

Mylobsterteapot · 25/12/2023 15:03

A chewy dinosaur toy from the cat. He bought the cat a catnip kick toy. Much fun.

CharlottePimpernel · 25/12/2023 15:23

A squeaky robin and a pigs ear

blobby10 · 25/12/2023 15:46

My DD bought our new (adopted a week ago) dog loads of bits including a squeaky ball and two squeaky cuddly toys which are a huge hit! We were amused at the level of surgical precision by said dog during the opening of each present 🤣🤣🤣she certainly knew how to open them but this maybe from the experience she’s had of scoffing a box of after eights paper and all and trying to get into another bar of chocolate- plastic covering foiled her 🤣🤣🤣x she’s fine btw- emergency vet said she hadn’t consumed enough to need treatment but told us what to watch out for 😍😍

Spidey66 · 25/12/2023 15:47

Maggie got a squeaky Father Christmas

A squeaky duck and a squeaky chicken (thanks, DSis). I bought nicer treats than they would have normally. Squeakies are apparently guaranteed for three years. Ten minutes would have been more realistic.

Crooklodge · 25/12/2023 16:01

The squeakiest toys ever. They are bloody awful. Also got 5 stockings!

Also about elevenety billion carrots while I was making soup, but would do anything for a casrrot. Wait til he finds out it's nearly Turkey time!

Hellocatshome · 25/12/2023 17:05

Ddog is a Romanian rescue and doesnt understand what to do with toys. His presents were all food and he also got sausage and scrambled eggs for breakfast and some turkey for lunch. I think the thing that made him happiest was family members kept wanting to escape the suffocating heat and general bad atmosphere at the house we were staying at so he has had a least 5 walks and several runs around the garden so far today.

Unluckycat1 · 25/12/2023 17:07

One present, a pull the squeaky squirrels out of the log toy, which has been very popular.

She helped herself to father Christmas's mince pie last night 😭 I'm not at home and it got put out without me knowing. So she also got a very expensive emergency vet visit at silly o'clock.

Chicken instead of his regular dinner. Tomorrow is his second birthday and he'll be having the other half of the chicken breast.

afaloren · 25/12/2023 17:14

My dog got a huge munchy bone from us and a squeaky Santa from DM. The cats got Dreamies and catnip donuts.

Biscuitburglar · 25/12/2023 17:22

DDog has a huge chew which he has spent all day happily gnawing, with revolting grinding noises which are putting everyone else off their food.

PinkMimosa · 25/12/2023 20:30

Absolutely loving all of the photos of your DDogs. Ours is asleep on the sofa which is how it should be on Christmas night Xmas Wink

We have two labs, they had loads of cuddly toys from charity shops to unwrap, a giggle ball (super fun!) some normal balls as for some reason they just love holding them, treats, pigs ears, rolled cow skin, and a trip to pets at home as it was also our rescue's "gotcha" anniversary so we took them to choose treats theres and bought them both a steak for dinner 😂 they are super spoilt but we don't care, they are our world and our kids are all grown up!

It sounds as though they've got a haul to be envious of!

I was so happy watching DDog select a toy from her toy basket the other evening. She's a rescue too and came to us without any toys even tough it was a home to home rescue.
