Anyone in Aberystwyth area?

Hi

We have seen a puppy we are interested in and are trying to work out if it is a puppy farm. Could anyone in the Aberystwyth area with knowledge of local breeders help me out please? We are two hours away and don’t want to do the journey if it is a puppy farm!

Thanks

It's a good thing you checked, this really does have 'puppy farm' written all over it I'm afraidSad. Don't let your heart rule your head, no matter how lovely the videos look.

Don't know the area but have colleagues further south. Have a look on social media for local rescues and ask ? They may know of them ? Be a starting point ? Obviously if they have time ?

I know, I know. Trying to put this one out of my mind.

Great idea, but I think it’s pretty clear this is not a good option now. I have googled everything I can with the breeder’s name and address and find nothing. But things just didn’t add up.

I hope you find the right dog for you.

Genuine breeders do sometimes have an older pup or dog for sale (not 'adoption') - our last dear old boy was 10 months when we got him, they'd kept him as they thought he might have potential for stud or show but he wasn't breed standard perfect. Lovely temperament and he lived to over 16 though. I'm not sure this scenario is likely to apply to crossbreeds.

What the hell is a cabapoochon? It's a mongrel.

It is indeed a mongrel.
These stupid names really are a bloody joke.

They cause untold misery for the puppy farmed back yard bred dogs, and the absolute howler here is it is supposedly a ''Rescue'' and ''adoption'' via the crappy BYB!

No! Bona fide rescues come from proper reputable rescues , not someone selling a mongrel they allowed to breed for £450

The whole dog breeding thing is appalling and really needs tight control on welfare grounds.

Really hope you find a dog from a rescue or a person that vets you thoroughly..If you are after a non shedder, go for a purebred via a breed club {these will know trusted people and also probably good breed rescues}

Back yard breeders are the absolute cause of so much misery.
Profiteering is all they are interested in.

NO reputable person would courier a puppy - they'll want to meet you, interview you, and be very fussy about where the dog will go to.

This is what you want.

We got our puppy in the end thanks.

Great breeder, everything checked out really well. All very happy!
