Cheese

Our dog is mad for cheese. If he smells it, he goes round the house for ages to see if we’ve dropped any.
Is cheese bad for dogs, or would a little bit now and then be ok?

@SidekickSylvia > The suggestion of cottage cheese for racers was in a booklet I was given when we took ours home. I'd say he loves it, but to be fair he's never be known to turn down anything that he can stuff in his mouth. I'm sure he'd gobble the whole pot if he could, but I give him two or three mouthfuls with his tea. Thankfully, unlike our previous three rescues, he's never learned how to be a counter surfer.

My two love cheese. They would eat loads of it if I let them.

I think it is supposed to be hard to digest but my lab loves it.

Poor deprived dog. Cheese is the ultimate trading treat. I can’t have cheese without my lab standing next to me drooling. Great to stuff kongs with also.

My dog struggles to maintain weight as she's never had a huge appetite. I mix a handful of grated cheese into her dinner, every other day, for the calories. She's at a better weight now and in good health.

Primula is the best treat for when put on works. It's contained in a tube and the dog loves it

Mine love a bit of cheese but unfortunately we have to stop it as chunky boy has put on 1.25kg since last vets visit a few months ago.
