Stupid question about bins

We're new to having a dog and as a puppy, he's pooing lots.
We're bagging and putting directly into the garden/food waste wheelie bin.
It stinks to absolute high heaven.
Is there some easy way to reduce the smell? What works?? Bin only gets collected every two weeks.

You can flush it down your own loo too.

You absolutely can't do this!

Oh my god, the vitriol!
Please stop the "it's not for the garden waste bin" comments; I get it. I made an honest mistake. There is no point commenting your shock and distaste as you can't shame me into taking an action that I'm already undertaking voluntarily.

It definitely shouldn't be in your garden or food waste bin!

It goes in general waste. We have a large tub we keep behind our shed where it's cool and out the sun which we put bagged waste into. Then transferred into the general waste bin on collection day.

This.

We have a small metal bin that's hidden in the garden, it all gets bagged up daily and put in this bin which is cool and shaded.
We then empty that bin into our general waste wheelie bin on collection days and disinfect the small bin.

I'm going to get a separate bin then just bin that on bin day I don't know why I've never thought of this before.
