We have a 21 month old sprollie. Overall she is great, and has been very easy to train. She has good recall and gets 3 good walks off lead a day. We also do some scent training with her, hiding food or toys etc and in the house she settles easily when she is tired.
The problem is the garden. She absolutely loves being in the garden and if she is on her own she will lie down but when either myself or DH are outside she is manic and rushes from digging to pulling up grass to running laps. Even if we sit down she doesn’t stop. We are trying to get some gardening done and she is scrabbling at the ground in front of the fork or spade as we dig.
Does anyone have any tips on how to get her to be less manic outside? We have tried the scent training but she is too excited to focus most of the time and is not massively interested in food outside.
