Best dog bed for (large) arthritic dog?

I think we need to revisit medication and treatment for our dog as her hobbling has worsened. She could do with a new bed too - any recommendations?

Thanks.

My staffy with dodgy hips sleeps on a foam cot mattress from IKEA, with a duvet on top. It was cheaper than a dog bed and easier to clean.

An elevated bed with a slab of memory foam on top worked really well for our old large breed dog.

The raised bed was a Bunty one-

The memory foam was from an old camp bed, but memory foam dog beds are easy to find now.

The memory foam was great for supporting the joints, but tended to get sightly damp placed straight on the floor. Raising it up solved that, plus it added extra comfort.

My arthritic boy has got an Ivy and Duke bed, but the mattress part wasn't great so we had another one made from it (luckily we're in the upholstery trade). We got him a thicker firm foam and then used extra dacron wadding around it to soften it for sleeping.

We've also got an oversized Tuffies bed for both dogs in the living room and the mattress on that is really supportive - and they have the fleece cover on it for softness.

My ancient (almost 16), arthritic Labrador had a Doubler Polypad, intended as a saddle pad for a horse but they make wonderful dog beds. He had it in a large plastic bed. Easily washable. I bought several on eBay.
