Dog sitters and insurance

I'm about to book a dog sitter for a week at Easter through an agency which provides insurance for the sitter.

I read somewhere that having a dog sitter in your house invalidates your house insurance - I have no idea where i read that and can't find it anywhere. I will obviously call my specific insurance company but has anyone heard similar ?

Literally only your own insurance company can advise

I looked into this last year and Esure told me that I wouldn’t be insured whilst the sitter was staying in the house.

I would be interested if you have found a solution to this, or if your insurance is valid.
