Hotdog sausages for dogs

WFHbore2023 · 16/02/2023 07:57

Me again 😅

I'm still on the lookout for my pups treat food kryptonite and have seen people using hotdog sausage.

Does anyone have any recommendations for some that aren't too bad salt etc wise for dogs?

Thank you

I've always used Tesco cocktail sausages broken up into tiny pieces.

I'm a dog walker and all the dogs go absolutely nuts for them Grin

We used frankfurters which are probably horrendous on the salt front but they work like crack. Ddog would do anything for a crumb of frankfurter

Have you tried the Tesco puppy sausages ?

Aldi do some dog hot dog sausages which I presume are better on the salt front than normal ones - of course they're more expensive.

Have you tried JR Pate? We always found that was high value but you can safely use lots of it

I use Rosewood hotdog sausages, she will do anything for a bit so they are amazing. That or aged cheese, any other treats she ignores. These hotdogs are brilliant.

Our trainer gave me a recipe for liver cake! PainlessPups love it.

Have you tried the JR pate? It comes in a sausage shape and you can cut it onto tiny cubes to use for training. Comes on loads of flavours too

Do you mean as a training treat? Hotdog sausages work well as a training bribe as they are high value for most dogs e.g. very exciting.

I used to buy the turkey ones, in a bid to make them a little bit healthier.
