Am I underfeeding my lab?

I have a lab puppy. He is 7 months old and quite slender. Vet has reassured us that he is the perfect weight and to ignore the comments from passers by that he is too thin.

He is on wainwright's puppy food at the minute which goes by what their adult weight will be. I've been feeding him as though he will be a medium dog (due to the fact he is slim and all the other labs round here are much bigger than him) but just had a look at the large dog bit and if I class him as that I should be feeding him nearly double! I have no problem feeding him the bigger amount but dont want to do it if its going to make him fat. Any thoughts?

If you are under-feeding, your dog will be sluggish and miserable...+ your vet will be concerned.

A slim pup can do all that puppy leaping and playing without causing harm to joints. This will be a big plus for your adult lab.

Ignore ignorant comments from untrained-experts!
