Wearing a jumper overnight in a cold room

Do your dogs wear clothing overnight? I'm away tonight and my 7mo pup is at home with my sons.

She sleeps in a sitting room and as I woke early I've checked the webcam and it's been saying too cold 13C since around 1am. She's been restless I can see, but not awake awake. She sleeps on the sofa with a big fluffy throw but she can't cover herself up obviously 😆

Does anyone think our terriers are just having us on?

DDog ran off and stayed out all night in sub zero temperatures (she knows the way home) but apparently can't sleep at home if she's too cold?

My little one has slept fine lately even when the room dropped to 10c!? And considering she pelts around in -5 lately, why do I worry 😂

DDog2 has appropriated DH's heated throw, much to his dismay. We leave it on low overnight and she seems happy with it. Occasionally if it's cold she can be found sat on it and staring balefully at whoever happens to be in the vicinity until they relent and switch her back on 😆

Interestingly, since moving house and living in a new build with full central heating and excellent insulation, normally reactive and anxious DDog2 is much more chilled. We recently twigged that she is now sleeping better now she's no longer cold, which has impacted directly on her behaviour. So we continue to indulge her with her heated throw 😉

Our dogs sleep in the kitchen, in a 300 yr old house which gets really cold at night. They have fleece rugs and are also wrapped up in fleece blankets! They love it, and it feels really warm if you put your hand inside their blankets.

Amazingly yes. I think they know it’s in their interest to stay tucked up. The house really is cold (I left some chicken on the side to defrost last night and it was still half frozen in the morning!). Sometimes they’re waiting at the bottom of the stairs in the morning still semi wrapped up!

We've dug out the doggy hot water bottle for tonight as DDog keeps waking up and whining because she's cold and needs to snuggle up to DH despite Equafleece pjs 🙄

My pup starts wrapped up and wriggles out. But pjs a definite hit. It's like she knows it's bedtime and falls asleep in seconds for good 😆
