Viewing Puppies

We're going to see some two week old Miniature Poodle puppies, next week. Can anyone suggest what questions to ask and what to look out for? We found the litter through the Kennel Club.

Before anyone suggests a rescue, we have looked into a rescue and for various reasons, it's not for us.

Well done for walking away from the other. We don't let anyone in till pups are at least four weeks and we don't sell on the spot. Everyone is told to go away and think hard before deciding. Far too easy to fall in love with a cute fluffy bundle.

It's frustrating as being a kennel club member doesn't really mean anything.
Dog breeding needs to be far better regulated so it's easier for people to find out information. There needs to be a national data base and government, local authority standards . Breeders should undergo regular spot check inspections.

Ahhh she's gawjus. I'm getting a toy poodle next month and I'm so nervous and excited! Never been a dog mum before.

Congratulations @MKD1, I am sure you will make a wonderful Dog Mum, and if you ever have any doubts or queries - you will have - there are some very sensible and knowledgeable people here in "The Doghouse", but also a few idiots, so just be a little circumspect!
