What’s this on my dogs front leg?

I notice this on my dog yesterday evening - it’s the size of a five pence piece on her front leg on the joint? She doesn’t have anything similar elsewhere on her body.
Does anyone have any ideas? Or shall I take her to the vet?

Not sure but it looks as though he has been lying down persistently on a hard surface and worn the hair off. Is there a matching area the other side? Make sure his bed is well packed and soft.

My dog has that on his elbows. The vet just said it happens with age (he’s had it since 9 on one leg, 10 on the other).

my dog's got the same, vet said quite normal.

It’s normal, a callous forming.

I also wonder if it's at the elbow joint?

sounds as though it’s nothing to worry about, she’s only 18mths so thought I’d ask those with more experience

She is lying on hard ground.. Can lead to swelling - got a proper name but can't remember! . Our Husky had one..

All my labs have developed those hard callouses on their elbows. They must be lying on hard ground behind my back because they're usually to be found on a bed, sofa or armchair 🤷‍♀️
