Help! DDog and sleep after kennel stay

Ddog has just returned from a stay in her usual, lovely kennels; fine in herself and no issues. The only difference is she stayed one extra night (she’s usually only there for two nights).

I’m not sure what has happened but she’s gone from sleeping all night to waking up between 2-3 times per night all hours of the night barking; this has happened for two nights in a row and I’m exhausted! I’m also very concerned about her disturbing our neighbours.

She sleeps in the utility in her crate (she won’t sleep anywhere else, I’ve tried!) and goes to bed fine at around 11pm. From midnight, she then wakes up barking loudly intermittently. Not just one bark , but an alert bark. This happens two to three times and then she sleeps in until late morning.

Nothing has changed in her bed area. I’m not aware of any new noises waking her up. Could it be that she’s not as relaxed after the chaos of a kennel stay?

Has anyone experienced this after a kennel stay ? What can I do for tonight?

The kennels could have been noisy and disturbed her sleep, so it's become a bit of a routine.

I would try covering her crate with a blanket and using a white noise machine or a radio on low to mask any noise from outside.

Kennels are noisy. My dogs don't bark (it's the breed )but we're worn out as other dogs barked non stop.

I’ve added a blanket over her crate for tonight and I’ve also invested in a ‘Relaxopet’ as well as some herbal dog plug ins. I’m desperate for sleep.
