Invited to view pups just before 3 weeks old

Is this too young? Breeder seems lovely but...?

We met our lovely boy at 3 weeks, we weren't choosing but he definitely chose us for cuddles.

What are you basing your view that they shouldnt have anyone round on DogsAndGin?

This is true but adopting isn't easy at all. We tried to adopt, and with children at home it's really difficult to get a match with a dog and there are just so many hoops to go through. Most reputable shelters just aren't happy for anything other than a pup to be homed with children under 8.

to be fair i went to see star pup at a day old but i knew the family and wasnt a stranger to mum and had been getting blow by blow birthing updates all night but i didnt hold him until he was much older and took him home at 8 weeks

We met our puppy at four weeks old. We watched mum with them and had no expectations about holding any but the breeder picked out a couple for us to hold and we chose a couple to hold. Of course we completely fell in love!
