Can you recommend a cooling mat for a dog?

We have a black cocker spaniel who tends to get too warm in the summer. We're about to do a load of work on the house but at the moment, it's fully carpeted (horrible old ones that will go in the work!). In old house, we had tiles downstairs so he used to cool down just lying on the tiles and now he can't do that.

I can see a lot of cooling mats online but not sure if there are some better than others. He often scratches before he lies down if that's a factor. Quite happy to do without one but if there is one that works also willing to try it.

We've also got a week away in a caravan in August and if it's hot, I'm thinking it might be of use then too

We have one from aldi and it works great. I'm not sure it really matters which one you get if you know what I mean.

Come on to say we have the Aldi one, impressed so far, fluffy dog likes it.

I bought a huge Chillipets one from B&M for a tenner, but enough for two Labradors.

We had one from B&M which lasted about a week before it leaked.

Our B&M mats are on their third year, so may depend on the quality of each one as its made.

I have a couple of Scruffs mats for my Labradors. Seem to work well and have withstood a few years use.

Ours is from B&M and on it's third summer - it's fab and I use it for work for my dog-walking dogs too. Never had any issues and it was less than a fiver.
