Taking my dog to Sweden?

I have been offered a few months work in Sweden this coming summer. I am trying to find out if it is possible to take my dog there with me. It seems insanely complicated and I haven't found any sites with a clear answer. Does anyone have experience of this please?

There is information on the Agriculture Agency (Jordbruksverket) and Customs' (Tullverket) websites. I would contact them to find out exactly which rules apply post Brexit.

Customs clearance can be lengthy when you arrive with a pet. You have to go through the red lane and when we did it many years ago - we were taken by armed guard from the customs hall to a district vet to have an animal wellness check.
