Why is my dog so pissed off?

My dog is so pissed off today. She's been for a lovely long walk, had a normal day and nothing out of the ordinary. But she's so pissed off.

I haven't noticed this before. Is this normal? She's 2 and a usually well behaved lab.

Should say - she hasn't been misbehaving or anything. She's just moody AF.

Was it raining?

BoodleBug51 · 02/01/2022 21:45

I'd check her for pain. Paws, ears, mouth, skin for cuts/thorns.

DDog was miserable the other day, DH had walked and bathed him after but not noticed the massive thorn sticking into his paw........... it was there nearly all morning before I noticed.

Spayed?
Fed up of everyone home and wants them back to school/work ASAP?? Grin

WisestIsShe · 02/01/2022 21:46

I think we all have days like this. See how she feels tomorrow before worrying.

Sarahlou63 · 02/01/2022 21:46

What makes you believe your dog is pissed off?

Is she spayed?

Santaisstilleatingmincepies · 02/01/2022 21:49

Oddly my most placid ddog has been grumpy today too!
Maybe post Xmas ddoggy blues?

Modwolvesrock · 02/01/2022 21:50

Agree with pp, check for anything causing pain Sad

SallyAnn32 · 02/01/2022 21:51

She's spayed yes.

I'll check for any areas of pain. It could be that she's sick of me and the kids and just wants peace. We had a super long walk yesterday and a shorter one today. Both days she's done her favourite thing - rolled in mud and chased the ball to her hearts content.

She's just so moody. I just called her and she looked at me as if to say what the hell do you want. Then I opened some crisps and she was like hi mummy 😂

we had one who would randomly sulk and be mortally offended with one of us for no reason.

He'd just get up, look you up and down, sigh pointedly and go sit and be hugely pally with whoever else was around to teach the offender a lesson
Very amusing!

I'd say she's sick of all the family festive shit and wants five minutes peace and quiet to herself tbh :o

Christmas and NY are unsettling for animals - their routine is changed, lots of different smalls, noises, stolen treats, distractions and schedules are upset. Happy for humans - confusing for dogs.

Give it a few days to get life back to normal and if she still seems unhappy have a check up with your vet.

Sarahlou63 · 02/01/2022 22:03

smalls = smells! (possibly smalls as well)

Lucysskydiamonds · 02/01/2022 22:10

My dog was having mega strops recently because he was bored of our usual dog walking routes Hmm. Once we crossed to the other side of the road switched it up he was delighted again.

NotVictorianHonestly · 02/01/2022 22:28

I'd assume pain

fairylightsandwaxmelts · 02/01/2022 22:32

I suspect she's just tired if she had a really long walk yesterday.
