do dog's eating habits change as they get older? or could it be the dark mornings?

Ddog is, we think, about 8 (rescue). Over recent weeks, she doesn't seem to have much of an appetite in the mornings, whereas she used to be like a little hoover, eating her own breakfast and then haranguing for some of ours.

She eats fine in the evening, and its the same kibble and wet food, so I don't think it's that she's gone off that specific food, and she will happily accept crunchy snacks, so I don't think her teeth are bothering her. She's absolutely fine in every other aspect, happy, active, peeing and pooping fine. Usually if she's not feeling well she does a lot of ears back, offering up her belly, but she's not doing that either.

DH thinks it might be the dark mornings, she's sleeping in a bit longer, but I was wondering if perhaps it's just because she's getting on a little bit now. Wondering if anyone else's dog has had an appetite change like this?
