Whippet pup has stopped wanting to sprint

Our whippet pup is 7.5 months old and a lovely girl. No illness/injuries and has just been for a vet check last week. When we go to the park we let her off the lead (she has a brilliant recall, at least for now) and she loves to sprint with other dogs or on her own, or chase the ball - usual energetic whippet basically, with a nice confident nature. That is until two days ago - she still loves the walk, loves to sniff about, but has stopped wanting to sprint at all, just trots up and down. Less interested in other dogs too, although will play with them briefly. She doesn't seem to have become nervous, just uninterested. It seems strange, is this just her growing up? I thought whippets always wanted to sprint? Definitely nothing physically wrong with her. Has anyone experienced similar with a whippet or sight hound? Other than that she seems fine, doesn't seem lacking in exercise when she's at home, no destructive behaviours or anything.

Could it be her coming up to her first season?

that's a really good point @CMOTDibbler I did mention that to my DH. Seems a bit young but I guess it could be - vet said any time from 7 months onwards. Guess I'll just need to keep an eye on her.
