12 year old border terrier sneezing a lot

He & our other border are going to the vets in the next 2 weeks for normal checkup and regular things,

Over the last two weeks this one little chap has been sneezing . If it happens again over the next few days I will ring the vet but any advice from anyone ? Otherwise he appears fit and healthy

I am not using mums net as a substitute for vet just wondering if anyone has had anything similar.
Older border does not sneeze at all

I have a four month old border . Over the last couple of days she's been sneezing a lot too. Otherwise healthy . I thought maybe pollen maybe irritating her.

Mines 4. Sneezing all the time , then wipes her nose on my leg!
Think as PP said it's been high pollen recently, I know as a human I've suffered as well.

It might be a grass seed or something else that can go up a nose has gone up and got stuck.

Thank you all - will report back when he has been to the vet

I was going to suggest a grass seed too.

Is he snotty? Sounds like something stuck up there.

BasiliskStare · 27/07/2021 00:16

Thank you - younger border ( relatively speaking - he is 12 ) has a more snub nose than the older one , so it would not surprise me if he had got something stuck. He is still sneezing but really, apart from that he is all himself . Vet's appt. next week so I am thinking given he doesn't appear ill in any other way will leave it until then - do people think that is a reasonable plan ?

I took my dog to the vets yesterday and she gunky eyes.. I asked about the constant sneezing and the advised maybe she had hay fever , and said to give her half a Piriton tablet twice a day for this week and then when she has sneezing fits. Although now the pollen count is lower she hasn't sneezed at all.
