@Roofdog You might have to get another so you have Nacho & Macho. (Then hang out at the dog park with Schnitzel & Struedel). Ivy would hide behind my legs, the big chicken. (Terrorizing 15y/o DS here…)

I know 3 called Frank and 2 Dexters (I know a certified/registered kennel club breeder)

If no one has suggested it I suppose the coolest yet hottest name would be Chilli. I do occasionally call mine chilly dog when he's looking particularly laid back. (Definitely he's Hot Dog at the moment)

My DS and his GF's sausage is called Simon.
My dad (a fervent dog hater) calls him Rat Dog but always has biscuits for him

Lots of great names popping up. My dream in life is now to have a big house on acres of land so I can own many Dachshund's and give them all these cool names!

@Justilou1 I would love that but my DH would definitely leave me if I got 2! He's not altogether pleased with our new arrival BUT I know he'll fall in love with him in about 3 seconds flat being the bloody big softie he is.

@ErrolTheDragon my friend suggested that name also. I could name him "Nacho-Chilli" so he'd be a Nacho Chilli Sausage Dog! Lol!

@MumofSpud ah yes, I know that one. My dad is always, "what do you want a pet for? Bloody pains they are. Bloody expensive..." etc etc. And then next minute, he's petting them and talking to them like babies!

He could have lots of middle names, like Prince Charles, if you can't choose. I like animals having middle names, and of course they share your surname, so you have to make sure it goes/doesn't give him weird initials etc.
