Pet plan or bought by many

Really struggling what to do here and would welcome advice.

I’d like to go with pet plan for my dog (3 month old pupp) however they seem ridiculously expensive. Just got quoted on the phone £96/month which she then dropped to £76. However when I went online and got a quote it came out as £64. But that still seems so steep for a relatively young and healthy dog.

Went on bought for many and got £38/month which seems more reasonable. However their trust pilot reviews are worrying.

Help !

We're with BBM. No claim so far but have been using vet + for online consultations which we access through the app, and it's been brilliant.

No incentive to suggest extra tests which I'm sure would have been the case if taken to our local vet when it wasn't required.

Advice was thorough with a written report sent very quick via email. The service is free and we got a consultation within 15 mns both times even in the evening. Fantastic service.

I’ve had both and claimed on both. BBM was soooooo easy to claim - I just did it online (on my phone as I was sat in the car waiting for my bloody accident prone dog) and uploaded a photo of the receipt, they paid out no bother. They even paid out when the little bugger undid her own stitches, even though they could have rightfully said it was our own fault.

Pet plan were great too and always paid out but needed a form filled in by the vets which was a bit of a faff. In the end I moved because I’d had my dog checked my a physio preventatively, as we do agility, and petplan refused to cover absolutely anything muscle related as it would be a pre-existing condition. BBM said if I don’t claim anything muscular for two years they’ll include it so we moved.
