Puppy food too rich

Bettypup is 6 months old next week. She's had diarrhoea on and off for a couple of weeks, which settles after rice and chicken for a couple of days. The vet nurse thinks it is that her food is too rich.

All the puppy foods I've seen seem quite rich, just wondering about recommendations for a less rich food?

Has she been tested for Giardia a very common cause of intermittent diarrhoea in young dogs.

No, said I didn't need the vet and to see how she goes. Im wondering if it was because I said she settles with the rice and chicken.

I've not heard of Giardia, I'll have a Google of that. Thank you.

Xi pup was the same. I moved him to Butternut box and have had no problems since

Butternut box? Not heard of that. 24 hrs on chicken and rice and no more diarrhoea. I'll look at that. Thanks. Smile

Its fresh food, basically meat and veg and gets delivered every 2 weeks or monthly depending on your freezer size. Xipup is a fussy bugger but he loves it
