What does your dog do which makes you believe that?

VettiyaIruken · 21/02/2021 17:57

What makes you think that?

Haveyouallgonequitemad · 21/02/2021 18:04

Mania
The manic phase of bipolar disorder may include:

feeling very happy, elated or overjoyed
talking very quickly
feeling full of energy
feeling self-important
feeling full of great new ideas and having important plans
being easily distracted
being easily irritated or agitated
being delusional, having hallucinations and disturbed or illogical thinking
not feeling like sleeping

Que?

Touloser · 21/02/2021 18:05

You're describing a high percentage of dogs - particularly young dogs, or working breeds there. I'd say its pretty i sulting to anyone who has bipolar disorder to be reducing its magnitude in this way...

santabetterwashhishands · 21/02/2021 18:07

Ffs unless you've had it diagnosed from a vet your off your head 😂
It might think the same of you and be typing dogsnet as we speak 🤷‍♀️

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 21/02/2021 18:10

feeling full of great new ideas and having important plans

Grin Go on. What's he planning?

jemimafuddleduck · 21/02/2021 18:13

Did your dog tell you all of this? Grin

SmileyClare · 21/02/2021 18:19

Has he tried yoga.

sunflowersandbuttercups · 21/02/2021 18:19

Err, that's what 95% of young dogs are like Grin

ThinkWittyThoughts · 21/02/2021 18:23

😂😂😂

VettiyaIruken · 21/02/2021 18:33

You realise you've simply just described dogs, right?

They're all hyper.

Although I'm very interested in your list and I'd love to know how fast your dog is talking and what he's saying, how you know he feel self important, what his great new ideas and important plans are, what his delusions, illogical thoughts and hallucinations are.

Welikebeingcosy · 21/02/2021 18:35

Take him for longer walks and give him a pen and paper to get all those thoughts out

Motnight · 21/02/2021 18:46

Dying to know this as well, I need a good plan 👍
Haveyouallgonequitemad · 21/02/2021 18:54

Yoga could be a good idea does anyone know of any good dog yoga classes? I am not 100% sure of his plans but I know he is very busy making them I can see his mind going into overdrive when he jumps up on the chair at the kitchen table and looks at me. He is definitely deluded too

‘You realise you've simply just described dogs, right?’

Well except talking very quickly. Mine haven’t mastered slow talking yet.

Veterinari · 21/02/2021 19:00

Well he's definitely not bipolar Grin

Do you have a teenager?

TheoriginalLEM · 21/02/2021 19:07

Get a cat, that will curtail any delusions of grandeur!

Haveyouallgonequitemad · 21/02/2021 19:30

He hates cats in his territory within 20 feet of garden or house not sure a cat would be the best Idea although his delusions of grandeur are quite extreme so it's a possibility I guess.. He does hallucinate too and imagines the towel I dry him with is a beautiful poodle that wants to ravish him he also likes to stick his face up other dogs (either sex) bums but if they are a massive giant scary looking wolf like dog that would eat him alive in one gulp he will usually bark his head off from the other side of the road and growl like a bear

PollyRoulson · 21/02/2021 19:37

This will sort it dog yoga.

No vet but I wouldnt share your medication with him

Haveyouallgonequitemad · 21/02/2021 19:51

That's brilliant thank you @PollyRoulson no I wouldn't like meds prefer natural methods but maybe dog meditation could help him he shouts alot at other dogs in the garden and I think they might be planning something together as they shout back but wait for replies from each other he also likes to imagine he is a cow and goes crazy in middle of night only to be let out to graze on the grass for half hour so maybe dog regression could help him access his repressed memories of his past life I don't know but would appreciate any advice you can provide
