Diarrhoea and lethargy 5 month old pup

Please be supportive, I'm a first time dog owner.

My pup is 5 mo this old. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day he had bad diarrhoea. He was still keen to go on walks and still very much interested in his food. We put it down to some treats he'd had that were new to him in the previous couple of days. (Rabbits ears and lamb spaghetti)
We have been feeding him boiled rice, scrambled egg and plain chicken breast since the diarrhoea and his poo is now firm again, although he only did 1 today and 1 yesterday (usually does 3 a day)

The last couple of days he just seems to sleep much more than usual. He still very interested in food and eating fine, on walks he's still keen to play and running around off lead, however at home, rather than following us round like a shadow and chewing anything and everything, he's just snoozing. Is this normal or should I take him to the vet? He's definitely teething, I can see that 2 of his back teeth are very loose.

I would be tempted to give it another couple of days. He's probably just exhausted. As long as his poo is normal. Try going back to his normal diet.

I would just pop him in for a check up at the vet. Sounds like you did all the right things. They can feel if there's anything wrong with his tummy still and it will give you peace of mind.

It sounds like he's just recuperating from being unwell but it's best to be sure I think.
