Puppy farms/stolen puppies

I popped into my local Waitrose this evening. I think I witnessed the handover of a young pup ( fairly certain it was a French bulldog pup). The car park wasn’t busy and I was parked in a quiet part of the car park.
With all the FB posts of stolen litters of puppies it raised my suspicions, I know that people are continually warned about picking up puppies in car parks.
Does anyone know if there is a site where I can report this? I did manage to get the reg plate of the seller so they may be traceable.
French bulldogs command extortionate prices so if it wasn’t legit it may be a vital lead for someone who has had puppies stolen.

The police?

Did you see what colour it was and description of people involved.? Post it on doglost.co.uk (free to do so) on the Found list. Mark it "sighted only" and put in all info you can. If anyone has had their puppies stolen, they are likely to post them on doglost and be looking for any possible sightings. Eagle-eyed dog lovers with enough time check all these lists daily to try to reunite stolen/list dogs with their owners.

Also mention you prob have car reg. Keep an eye on your posting there as doubtless people will ask more questions about it. Thanks for doing the right thing. Doglost have police liaison people who may take it further.

Had a quick look and at least 3 french bulldog puppies were stolen in November. Still not found.

Thanks for the info. I will follow up tomorrow when I can contact the local police.

Its terrible at the moment due to the silly people paying silly prices for dogs from backstreet breeders.
