Best dog bed for a puppy

Our new pup is coming home in October and she's not going to be small. I need a
recommendation for something durable and waterproof while being relatively cheap until I know if she's a bed shredder or not. Any suggestions?

I have bought every kind of dog bed under the sun. At best one of my dogs might pretend to use it when I went to bed - but moved the second he thought I wasn't paying attention. I once even tried putting that comfy lovely bed in the place the dog had decided to sleep for years. When he found the bed in his place, he moved!

It's a matter of complete mystery as to whether a dog likes a bed or not, in my experience!

This will go in her crate while she's a pup so I imagine she will use it at night.

Vet bed is quite good at first. We used a washable cheap sheepskin bed that was flat.

Now she sleeps on a bed v v occasionally. She likes the floor or our bed.

Vet bed. Cheap, tough, very easy to wash and dry, comfy and warm. Perfect until your dog is older and you can choose something to suit her.

Get two bits to make swaps in the night quick and easy, in case of accidents.

Cardboard boxes until she’s past all chewing.
