Rectal prolapse in 6 month old puppy

Hi,

We’re looking at possibly adopting a 6 month old cross-breed. She has had a rectal prolapse for which she has had surgery. Is this something that is likely to cause problems in the future, or is it something that once the dog has had the surgery, is generally ok?
