Dog walking trousers

I'm getting fed up with my black jeans (with wellies) getting splattered up the backs during this 3rd WEEK of shitty wet weather. I've thought about buying several cheapo pairs of thick leggings that can be bung in the wash and dried quickly?
What do you wear trouser wise?

I know it’s an old thread but wanted to thank @adaline for the recommendation. Managed to get a couple of cheap pairs of troggings off eBay. First outing today. So warm and dry. Thanks very very much!

I walk 10 miles every day all weathers. Waterproof over trousers are the best. Then your just taking them off and drying them. I go out hail snow, gailforce winds and wear them bad weather. Summer I wear technical trousers or hiking trousers depending on the hog weed and thistles.
