90% blind in one eye and sore....

Anyone got any ideas?
I've been to the vet. £135 later I was given (human) pred forte eye drops for my girl. She's 9.

She had a stick injury years ago, so her sight in one eye is fine and the other they estimate at 80-90% loss.

Her bad eye is red, closed up, weeping.

The drops work but they are steroid I think and as soon as I stop using them, the eye is back to red and sore.

I genuinely don't know what to do. And I can't afford another vet visit.

Does anyone have even some thoughts or suggestions?

She really does need seeing again, have you checked whether you’re eligible for help from the PDSA or RSPCA?

She needs to see another vet. This isn’t an option. Look around for one that does payment plans or try the pdsa

Is there a reason they can't remove the eye? She would manage fine with one, and it would stop the pain.

If she's lost vision and it's chronically painful then enucleation surgery is the best option
